How to Build a Professional Athlete Media Kit (Step-by-Step)
Athletes, if you want NIL deals, you must have a media kit.
This is the document brands, agents, and even college coaches look at to decide:
  • if you’re professional
  • if you’re brand-safe
  • if you understand your value
  • if they should work with you
Most athletes don’t have one.
YOU will.
Here’s the exact template to follow:
1️⃣ PAGE 1 — YOUR COVER PAGE
This is your first impression.
Include:
  • A high-quality action photo
  • Your name
  • Sport + position
  • Graduation year
  • School
  • Social media @handles
  • Contact email
Example layout:
📸 Big image of you
NAME | SPORT | SCHOOL
IG: @handle | TikTok: @handle
📩 Email for partnerships
Tip: Keep it clean, bold, and simple.
2️⃣ PAGE 2 — YOUR ATHLETE BIO
This is NOT your “life story.”
It’s a brand snapshot.
Write 3–5 sentences including:
  • Who you are
  • What makes you unique
  • Your athletic achievements
  • Your values or what you stand for
  • Your long-term goals
Example:
“I’m a Class of 2026 RB with 1,250 rushing yards last season. I’m known for speed, leadership, and discipline. My goal is to inspire younger athletes through consistency and work ethic.”
Tip:
Brands love athletes with identity and direction.
3️⃣ PAGE 3 — ATHLETIC STATS & ACCOMPLISHMENTS
Keep it factual and easy to scan.
Include:
  • Height, weight, position
  • Key stats (PRs, rankings, wins, averages, etc.)
  • Awards (All-State, MVP, Captain, etc.)
  • GPA (if it’s strong)
  • Team accomplishments
Tip:
Use bullet points. Make it clean.
4️⃣ PAGE 4 — SOCIAL MEDIA ANALYTICS
This is one of the MOST important sections.
Include:
  • Instagram followers
  • TikTok followers
  • YouTube subscribers (if applicable)
  • Engagement rate (IG: take your last 3 posts + average likes/comments ÷ followers x 100)
  • Average views per reel/video
  • Audience demographics (age, gender, location)
Tip:
Brands care more about engagement than follower count.
5️⃣ PAGE 5 — PAST NIL PARTNERSHIPS (If you have them)
List:
  • Brand name
  • What you did (video, post, event) in
  • Results or metrics (if available)
If you have NO deals yet:
Replace with:
“Partnership Categories I’m Interested In:”
✔ fitness
✔ fashion
✔ health
✔ wellness
✔ sports equipment
✔ hydration
✔ nutrition
✔ lifestyle brands
6️⃣ PAGE 6 — YOUR CONTENT & BRAND IDENTITY
Brands want to know your “vibe.”
Include:
  • 6–9 screenshots of your best content
  • A sentence describing your personality (example: “high-energy and motivational”)
  • A sentence describing your style (example: “clean, positive, family-friendly content”)
  • Any brand-safe commitments you follow
Tip:
Pick visually strong posts.
7️⃣ PAGE 7 — YOUR RATES (Optional but powerful)
This page shows you are a serious athlete.
Example rate card:
  • 1 Instagram Post: $150
  • 1 Instagram Reel: $250
  • TikTok Video: $200
  • Story Set (3 slides): $75
  • Event Appearance: $200/hr
Tip:
Adjust as your engagement grows.
8️⃣ PAGE 8 — CONTACT INFORMATION
End with a clean, simple page:
For Partnerships:
Name
Email
Phone (optional)
City, State
Links to all socials
Tip:
Make it extremely easy for brands to reach you.
🔥 FINAL NOTE
Once you build this, you no longer pitch brands with “Hey, I’d love to collab.”
You present yourself as a professional, not a random athlete hoping for a deal.
