The Mental Load on NIL Families (Quiet, but Real)
I want to talk about something a lot of NIL families are feeling right now, mental overload. Most burnout doesn’t come from doing NIL wrong. It comes from trying to do too much, too fast, without a system. Right now, your main focus is building the foundation of your brand, not pitching brands, not chasing deals, and not worrying about money yet. Here’s how to approach this calmly and correctly 👇🏽 1. You Do NOT Need to Post Every Day Posting every single day is not required, especially if it’s stressful. What works better: • Post 3–4 times per week on your main feed • Make sure each post has one clear point • Focus on consistency, not pressure Quality and clarity matter more than frequency. 2. Choose One Content Day Each Week You should not be creating content every day. Action: • Pick one day a week to film content • Record multiple short videos in one sitting • Save them and schedule or post later Once content day is done, you’re free for the rest of the week. 3. Keep NIL Work in Simple Time Blocks NIL should support your athlete’s life, not take it over. Action: • 1 content day per week • 2 quick check-ins to post or schedule • No daily scrambling or stress Structure creates peace. 4. Your Priority Right Now Is Brand Foundation At this stage, there should be no focus on pitching brands or landing deals yet. Why? Because if you pitch too early, before you know: • what to post • how to post • who your audience is • what value you bring you can burn a bridge with brands before you ever get started. Brands remember messy, unclear pitches. Strong brands attract opportunities later. 5. Do Less, But Do It Better You don’t need to be everywhere or say everything. Action: • Focus on one main platform • One message per post • One audience per post Simple, clear brands win long-term. 6. Use the Community for Support You’re not supposed to figure this out alone. Action: • Ask questions here • Use the resources instead of guessing • Show up to coaching calls even if you feel behind

Question: Law 1 Relevance
@Santia Deck I just watched the lesson from 12/29 and I answered the Audience Clarity question and wanted some feedback on my responses. Do I have too much information? Do I need to go deeper? The one person I understand well b/c I am them is myself as an Elite Athlete. We are struggling with how to stay elite and ahead of the competition when it seems like others are catching up (height and weight). We are feeling confused about next steps to high school, do you go for grades or athletics ? How to identify a good coach to take you to the next level? Mental heath in middle school (navigating friend groups, dealing with bullies).

This is good! These are how things he can start creating content around. EVERYBODY is trying to figure out how to be an elite athlete and how to stay ahead of competition. There are also ton of athletes feeling the pressure of grades or athletics, what does a good coach look like, etc. He needs to talk about these topics!! It’s relatable and people already care about these topics.

How to Navigate the Community (Watch This Loom Video)
I just recorded a quick Loom video walking you through all of the tabs and categories at the top of our community so you know exactly where to find what you need — without having to scroll endlessly through the main feed. This is really important. The community is organized intentionally so you can: • Find coaching call recordings quickly • Locate assignments and resources • Catch up on announcements • Access discussions by topic • Save time and avoid frustration If you ever feel like you’re scrolling and thinking, “Where is that post again?” — this video will solve that. Please take a few minutes to watch the Loom so you can move through the community with clarity and confidence. Knowing how to navigate the space will help you stay consistent, engaged, and focused on the work that actually matters. If you still have questions after watching, drop them below and we’ll help you get oriented.
