Just a quick heads-up that not everyone seems to know:
If you live outside the EU and make purchases while travelling in Europe, you may be able to claim VAT back when you leave.
I work in Ireland, where VAT is 23%, and in many cases visitors can get around 17.5% refunded on eligible purchases.
Worth keeping in mind if you’re ever travelling in Europe (it can make a big difference depending on what you buy).
Hope that’s useful.
