Restoration Update
I’m sure just about everyone here is also on RMRS, so, If you’ve seen this, please excuse the double post.
Does everyone remember this scratched disaster I got on marketplace for $30?
The new crystal and bezel insert came in. I’d say this is more of a mod than a restoration. The flat mi real crystal was replaced with a double dome sapphire. I couldn’t find a bezel insert that fit (yet) so I polished the old one and piggy backed a slightly smaller one.
I bought a gold plating kit- that wasn’t so successful, but I’ll have other opportunities to try.
Overall, a worthwhile project.
