Hi everyone! I wanted to check in here. My partner and I are dealing with an extremely stressful & uncertain situation (I hope to feel safe sharing more about this at some point!) and I have abandoned social media for a bit.
Mostly it is due to needing to lay low until the situation gets more manageable or goes away. But also because the current state of things has not allowed me any time to even THINK about or care about posting or engaging.
I DO, however, feel safe here and felt I owed everyone a hello because yall are my people!
Does any of this have to do with veganism? I think, yes!
Honestly, what my bf and I have been through could only be worse if we didnโt share the perspective we do of life. Vegan is who we are and practicing veganism is simply our daily lifestyle.
Throughout this, our values have only strengthened and our dedication to the livelihood, health, and care for our children (who happen to also be animals) and our own bodies has only been reinforced.
In addition, my nutrition and strength building program has been steady; itโs been my fuel; my routine that makes ME feel like NOTHING can keep me down!
So hereโs your reminder that LIFE can be hard - that we face trials & tribulations and suffering that seems UNFAIRโฆ
BUT! When our character and foundation is strong; when we live with meaning and intention; when we value our bodies; when we recognize that our presence on social media platforms and all the other bullshit doesnโt fuel our tank or fuel our hearts; when we face a time where we are stripped of the amenities and left with the essence of our spirits & souls to understandโฆ
We come face to face with the only things that matter.
Remember, we are Vegan not because itโs a fad or a diet, but because itโs RIGHT. And at the end of the day, when the world seems so wrong, we STILL are Vegan.
Much love everyone.
Iโll be trying to get involved in the next few weeks if I am able to๐ซถ๐
