STATES practice
- Today I learned that my voice gets louder and sharper and my energy gets more intense when I’m really excited about what I’m talking about and I haven’t noticed that I haven’t given space for anyone else to talk. So my commitment to myself is slow down and pause. And when I notice the urgency in my voice, to stop talking and ask a really thoughtful question and LISTEN.

- Today I learned that when activated I tend to shut down and disconnect . So my commitment to myself is to stay present and honest

Day 4 #Appreciation
I noticed that leading with appreciation brings a feeling of relief instead of the tension and guilt I often feel when I have to ask for help. I'm going to practice remembering that feeling.
Day 4 - Appreciation First
Leading with appreciation makes the conversation a little easier, but my asks still seem to be too long. Again, I'm explaining too much and I need to work on simplifying my conversations.

I noticed showing appreciation first allows the other person to seen and more willing to accept your request.
