Man... first HYROX in the books! I've been training pretty intensely for the last 16 months, and about 4 months ago I decided that when HYROX came to town, I was doing it. Yesterday we got it done. I was lucky enough to run the relay with some great guys i get to call brothers! I couldn't have asked for a better group to do my first one with. This was one of those things that you do once and immediately think... yep, I'm doing that again. Absolutely loved the competition, the atmosphere, pushing myself, and just seeing what all this training has been building toward. Safe to say this was the first of MANY HYROX competitions. Already working on getting a doubles competition on the calendar next... 👀 Stay tuned. We're just getting started!🔜

Another week another hotel gym! Don’t love treadmill runs, but in an unfamiliar city in the early morning, treadmill it is!

Been traveling a lot lately. Finding I select hotels based not only on brand, but on the gym they offer. How do you stay consistent when traveling?

A few months ago, I signed up for my first Hyrox: Salt Lake, September 18th. Since then I've been training like crazy to get in shape for it. Today I ran my first half Hyrox simulation and finished in 40:03. I've got a long way to go before I hit that sub-60 full Hyrox, but that's exactly the point. Today gave me a baseline. Now I know where I'm starting and what it's going to take to get where I want to go. You can't improve what you haven't measured.
