Self Esteem
Here is my question today to you on the topic of your self esteem. What is your self esteem like? How do you know when your self esteem is high? How do you know when you are happy with your actions? How is your opinion of yourself? This may show up as self talk. This may show up in how you look after yourself. This may show up as being full of energy. I am recording a video series on our sense of self and self esteem, in partucular how we can master our self esteem and ultimately our energy to take action in life. Often these videos start out with me doing some personal self development. Being a coach it is easy to catch my self talk and ask what is going on here mister unconscious mind? And with that a rabbit hole is run down in search for fast and effective change. Maybe this is an interesting place to start, how i rewire my own identity, and unpack this so you can do the same. See in the classroom videos i have started that will expand on self esteem. Here is my question to you. What is an example of a time when your self esteem was high? What was going on in your life at that time that meant your self evaluation was high? Regards, Matthew Tait

Focus, What is one win you had yesterday?
Depending on your mindset, the type of questions you ask yourself can help you to shift focus very quickly. As out minds love to focus on fear, let's flip that script. Today's question, what wins did you have yesterday? No matter how small. Something that went well. Perhaps a system at work that we take for granted and now works perfectly and we take it for granted. Or a new contact. Or a solution was figured out. Comment a win you had yesterday that was lost in the business, that feels good when you remember that moment.
Happy New Year
Welcome to 2026 everyone in the Reset Room - Self development. Lets set up the year with some momentum. What are your goals? How do you want 2026 to go differently from 2025? Have you a vision, be it fuzzy, or hyper specific? Whatever it is, be sure it aligns with your identity as well as considering your overall life (ecology). How do we ensure this I hear you ask? A simple answer is know your internal drivers. Or put another way, know your values. Sometimes we have a goal that others want for us but are actually misaligned with us as people. Before I jump into any content, lessons or workshops, let me ask you a question.... What vision do you want for 2026? What action can start your momentum? Sometimes the vision opens up with micro actions. Please comment below as this will be super useful for providing solutions to any problems we have in this space. Comment below.... How you want 2026 to be different? What might need to be planned for that could get in the way? What support you have to accelerate your goal? Warm regards, Matthew Tait - The Reset Room self-development.

What is a quality you like about yourself?
Last week we spent a whirlwind 3 days in Bali. Last trip for this year. Whilst there I was inspired to do some videos on the self-concept model by Steve Andreas. One of my goto mindset models. Here is the very first part of that model to help you move forward. What is a quality you like about yourself that you a fully certain of? It could be anything. But it is something that you like. It is something that lifts your energy when you behave that way. It is something that you are certain about. Maybe you are a kind person, responsible, resilient, adaptable, flexible, loving, nurturing, calm, consistent, helpful, etc. etc. The only rule is you like this about yourself. (This is triggering your internal values system towards self esteem). This question can be very revealing in good ways and in ways we can figure out your values that are your driving force internally. Comment below your quality you like about yourself. Warm regards, Matt.
Accessing your unconscious mind
How do we get to those programs that cause the self-sabotage, imposter, and resistance. One answer is to bypass the critical thinking, and access the internal recording of your mind. One such way is the Betty Erickson Technique. This video below is a technique that was devised by a famous hypnotherapist's wife. The therapist was Miton Erickson who was modelled by the founders of NLP for his amazing results with solving clients' problems. Imagine being the wife of a hypnotherapist. She was a test subject for all kinds of inductions, hypnotic processes and meditations. As a result she found sometimes she was slow to get into a trance like state, and other times she was faster than her husband's hypnotic process, so she took control and developed her own style. This is called by her name, the Betty Erickson Technique. It is designed to help you as a self-hypnosis method designed to promote relaxation and personal insight, often used for stress relief and anxiety management. The Betty Erickson Technique, developed by Betty Erickson, emphasizes the use of self-hypnosis to achieve a relaxed state and facilitate personal change. This technique is particularly effective for individuals seeking to manage stress, anxiety, or other emotional challenges. It incorporates elements of mindfulness and sensory awareness to enhance the hypnotic experience. Enjoy my little reset using Betty Ericksons amazing technique. Warm regards, Matthew Tait
