from student to teacher.. still learning ✨
Hello everyone! I've been loving every part of my yoga journey. I've been practicing the yoga asanas for years, and I got officially certified in November with Sierra, which was a wonderful experience!! Now that I have my certificate and can start teaching, I feel that after learning so much and realizing how much deeper yoga is, I need to keep learning more to “be a good teacher.” I’d like to open a discussion here to empower and share what are your tips to just go for it and not wait for the perfect moment? Also, if you’ve started teaching, how long did it take you to show up at a yoga studio and start sharing your practice? I know it’s only been five months, but I just wanted to share my thoughts and hear some feedback!!
TRUE Health is not the absence of illness, its the brilliance of vitality! Ayurveda measures it in three ways
In Ayurveda, true health is not just the absence of illness — it is the balance of Prana, Tejas, and Ojas. These three subtle forces shape how we feel, think, love, heal, and move through the world. ✨ Prana - your life force. Prana is the vital energy moving through the body. It lives in the breath, the nervous system, and the spaces between thoughts. When prana is strong, we feel energized, inspired, clear, and alive. When depleted, we may feel anxious, disconnected, fatigued, or scattered. How we nourish it: breathwork, nature, sleep, stillness, nourishing foods, meaningful connection. 🔥 Tejas - your inner radiance. Tejas is the fire of transformation. It governs digestion, perception, discernment, intelligence, and our ability to “digest” life experiences. Balanced tejas gives us confidence, sharpness, passion, and clarity. Too much can create burnout, irritability, inflammation, or judgment. Too little can leave us dull, confused, or unmotivated. How we nourish it: healthy digestion, purpose, boundaries, balanced ambition, proper rest. 🌙 Ojas - your deep vitality. Ojas is your reserve tank. The essence of immunity, resilience, sensuality, fertility, and emotional steadiness. It is what gives us glow, groundedness, and the feeling of being deeply nourished. When ojas is low, we burn out faster, get sick easier, and feel emotionally depleted. How we nourish it: rest, loving relationships, healthy fats, ritual, nervous system regulation, and living in alignment. In many ways:Prana is the energy.Tejas is the transformation.Ojas is the reserve. Health is not built in one moment. It is cultivated through how we breathe, digest, rest, relate, and live. Which one do you feel you need more of right now? 👇

An incredible teacher & soul <3
I had the amazing opportunity to learn from Sierra in an intensive 200h YTT in Mexico! This was one of the most prosperous, profound experiences I’ve had in my life and couldn’t have done it without the container Sierra helped create during my training. Her gentle guidance and encouragement stood out the most and allowed me to explore parts of my self that I didn’t realize I would during my YTT. I learned and developed so much as an individual and found a calling that put me on the most abundant, fulfilling path. Sierra is such a talented, genuine, and empowering individual and it was truly an honour to get to learn from her!
Welcome back community!
With summer just around the corner we're getting ready to welcome the YTT students in Mexico this fall. Which means we getting the body, mind and soul ready for transformation. I wanted to ask what area do you feel you need support with these days?
