Pain after some exercises (post-op 4 months)
I had RIH repaired at Shouldice in January 2025. Around the 3 month mark I started to resume swimming - to get ready for my return to scuba diving. I'm a bit frustrated in the past month that after doing laps and/or flutterboard I have some pains at the surgical site. So then I try to take it easy for a few days till the ache/pain goes away, then swim again and same thing happens. Do I just need to rest longer? Am I negatively affecting the repair by (apparently) stressing it by swimming? I am going on a scuba trip around the 5.5 month mark (July 2025) where I'll be doing multiple dives a day... so I'm a little concerned that I'll be sore after just one dive. I was initially concerned about lifting the scuba tanks and such, but swimming is kind more important. How does one build core strength when doing so results in pain? :(
Exercises
After 21 days, did you go through the exercises again? Or just do day 21 over and over? Where did you go from there?
Hernia questions please help me
Hi I got a hernia back in August had mesh surgery on November 13 the doctor said my hernia was 5mm smaller than a dime and I wanna do bodybuilding my question is because my hernia was so small and because i got mesh does that make the chance of me reinjuring it even less if I do bodybuilding training also it's been over 2 months since my hernia sugery I'm still getting sharp pains not really where the umbilical hernia was but on the sides of my lower abdominals I can't workout right now I got a ct scan I haven't reinjured it so do you think I just need more time in order to be pain free does it take longer to be pain free sometimes. do you think by March or April that will be enough time for it to be pain free thank you guys I really need answers if anyone can help answer my questions please
