I can't believe with 22k members that I'm the only one! I'm 75 and 6 years ago during Covid era I was diagnosed w endometrial cancer. Successful total hysterectomy and no further treatment required. FIVE YEARS LATER?! I developed lymphedema of my right leg. I discovered surgeon had to remove 14 lymph nodes from Rt pelvic region bc the dye test didn't take. I don't resent that but I wish I had been warned about what might develop as time went on. I feel like I am educating my Drs instead of the other way around. Despite daytime and nightime compression garments, pumping my leg twice a day, losing 45 lbs and following a low/zero carb diet, doing lymphatic massage, I cannot make progress. I have heard that Tirzepatide can address the inflammatory process and women report that their legs or arms have greatly reduced in size even before losing much weight. But that is a non approved use of GLP1s so no one will write me a scrip even though I just want to microdose and see if it will help. I have signed up with RootRx and am waiting to do my labs and hopefully get some answers.
Interested in hearing from anyone else who is on this journey with lymphedema.
