Daily Protocol
Most people want one magic fix. But constipation usually improves faster when you stack a few simple practices and do them consistently. A warm drink, ginger, belly massage, intestine pumps, and an evening reset can be enough to start changing the pattern. Simple beats complicated when you actually do it every day. Electrolytes
I recently got a question from a very fit person who is baffled by her chronic constipation. She detailed her healthy diet and the fact that she runs 20 km a week and gets 10,000 steps a day and drinks plenty of water. I am also very fit and early in my journey with gut health. My OD showed me that I was deficient in electrolytes including magnesium. Electrolytes are critical for muscle function, including the muscles in your digestive tract. People who exercise a lot lose a lot of electrolytes through sweat. Okay, now, don't be using that as an excuse not to exercise 😅. Adding electrolytes and magnesium powder into my diet did move the needle and is something I continue to this day. I have settled on two products that I love: IonicLytes because it is pure electrolytes, no flavor, no sugar, that goes right in my water bottle. Miracle mag I put in my drink with dinner (and it can also be mixed with fruit and yogurt to make a fluffy whipped dessert). Links below

Why a Squat Stool Can Help
I love my Squatty Potty! A squat stool can be one of the easiest upgrades to make. Why it helps: - it changes the angle of the hips - it helps relax the puborectalis - it makes the rectum less kinked - it often reduces straining That does not mean a stool is the whole answer. If your constipation also includes stress, shutdown, pelvic floor tension, or poor urge response, those still need attention too. But this is one of those low-effort changes that can make bathroom time less frustrating fast.
