The Relationship Pattern I Am Working On:
Allowing other people's expectations to carry too much weight in my decisions, leaving me feeling controlled or under pressure.
Why This Pattern Has Continued:
I may have become accustomed to accommodating others that I do not always pause to consider my own needs and capacity.
What Makes Change Feel Difficult:
Expressing a different preference can feel uncomfortable, especially when someone maybe disappointed or disagree.
The Part I Can Control:
I can pause before agreeing, communicate my limits clearly and take responsibility for the commitments I choose.
My Biggest Realization:
Taking ownership includes recognizing where I still have a choice. I can listen to others and make a decision that respect my wellbeing.
Today I proved:
I AM someone who takes ownership of what I can control because I have reflected on this pattern and identified where I can begin responding with greater intention.
