Need some advice

So im trying to talk to a girl who im interested in, it’s not a crush, im not one to fet attached without knowing who they are, but there is interest. Talking to people has always been out of my comfort zone, and last time I had a perfect chance but i couldnt get out of the “what if she says this then i dont know what to say oh no whats going on” kinda thought process, im here to ask what to do in that situation, if i know she could say a response that i couldnt think of anything for? Am i just overthinking? Should i just go in without thinking?
