Today is our traditional family picture day at the arboretum. Looks like the rain has stopped, but I’m expecting damp and overcast fall weather. Going with my best English countryside style. Interesting find recently—I was cleaning out some old junk and came across a pair of old white handkerchiefs. Largely due to thinking about pocket squares in connection with this site, I immediately recognized them. They belonged to my grandfather, who gave them to me several decades ago. He would always carry them in his trouser pocket. It seemed weird to me that he would give me his used (laundered of course) handkerchiefs. But I finally found a reason to carry one.
