Workouts
I have a question for all of my fellow gym rats. Do you lift light weights with more reps or heavy weights with fewer reps? Both build muscle when done to failure. Light weights are easier on the joints and nervous system, making recovery easier. Using heavy weights builds more strength than using light weights. BUT the key to all of this is lifting to failure. I do both in a given week (with 3 to 5 sets and resting 1.5 to 2 minutes between sets).
Rest is important, and I try to do weight training 3 to 4 days a week and cardio for 3, and I take one day off to recoup and restore. I meditate every day and I can highly recommend its recuperative effects.
So what do you do? Light? Heavy? Rest? Meditate?
