I had a few clients calls which allowed me to get into a suit and press the sartorial buttons a bit. They resulted in the rare new client agreement during summer, allowing me to classify that these calls were well worth the effort.

• Suit — SJ-017, SL-026 (Suitsupply): A mid-blue Suitsupply P7004 suit in a summer-weight wool, silk, and linen plain weave, pairing the half-lined natural-shouldered jacket with high-rise side-adjuster trousers. The matte cloth and subtle pattern scale keep it business-formal enough for the video conference while the fabric blend reads lighter and more relaxed than worsted wool.

• Shirt — DS-048 (Charles Tyrwhitt): An ivory Charles Tyrwhitt non-iron twill dress shirt in soft 2-ply cotton, cut slim with a classic point collar and French cuffs. Its clean, pattern-free front and formality score of 5 make it a crisp canvas for the textured shantung tie and statement cufflinks.

• Undershirt — US-019 (Sene): A slate-blue Sene crew-neck undershirt in heavy Supima cotton and elastane. Under an opaque ivory dress shirt, it adds comfort and structure without competing visually with the tailored layers.

• Tie — NT-057 (Rampley & Co): A blue, cream, and ecru striped Rampley & Co shantung silk tie, 3-fold, self-tipped, hand-rolled, and intentionally textured. The matte slub of the shantung keeps the suit from feeling flat on camera; tie it in a clean four-in-hand to suit the classic point collar and the tie’s thicker hand.

• Pocket Square — PS-041 (Fort Belvedere): A Fort Belvedere silk-wool pocket square in mohair blue with a burgundy, green, and yellow medallion-and-paisley border. The semi-silky hand and hand-rolled, hand-screen-printed finish give it a refined but slightly softer presence than the darker PS-040, making it a better match when you want the pocket square to echo blue tailoring while adding a warm burgundy accent. A puff, crown, or upside-down puff fold would show off the border nicely without making the square look too formal.

• Braces — SB-007 (Kirby Allison): Dark-navy Kirby Allison silk braces in ancient madder with a geometric floral pattern, black calf button loops, and a traditional Y-back. They are mostly hidden under the jacket, but they support the high-rise side-adjuster trousers cleanly and reinforce the dressed, classic tailoring story.

• Footwear — DSh-019 (Carmina): Dark-brown Carmina braided slippers with a chiseled/squared toe. They are more business-casual than boardroom formal, but for a video-conference day they add comfort and a relaxed artisanal note below the camera line.

• Socks — DSo-063 (Fort Belvedere): Fort Belvedere cotton dress socks in mid-brown with a blue shadow stripe. The brown grounds the loafers while the blue stripe echoes the suit and tie, tying the visible and non-visible parts of the outfit together.

• Cufflinks — CL-009 (Fort Belvedere): Fort Belvedere eagle-claw cufflinks in sterling silver holding black onyx balls. The black and platinum tones sharpen the ivory French cuffs and give the otherwise soft summer suit a small hit of authority.

• Watch — W-007 (Stührling): A Stührling skeletal automatic with a white, navy, and black color story. It adds mechanical interest and complements the blue tailoring without overpowering the cufflinks or tie.

• Apple Watch — W-001 (Apple): The Apple Watch 10 in titanium slate serves as the practical secondary watch for notifications and health tracking. Its dark neutral finish stays quiet and does not disrupt the suit’s blue-and-brown palette.

• Business Card Case — BCC-001 (Fort Belvedere): A Fort Belvedere bifold clasp business card carrier in black, green, and silver. It is formal enough for the business setting and adds a subtle heritage-accessory touch even if it stays off camera.

• Wallet — WL-002 (Fort Belvedere): The Fort Belvedere classic 10-card bifold in mahogany and petrol blue two-tone leather. The mahogany works with the brown shoes and socks, while the petrol blue quietly echoes the suit and tie.

• Ring — R-001 (Ellie’s Jewelry): The platinum-and-diamond wedding ring remains the constant personal anchor in the outfit. Its cool metal sits naturally with the silver cufflinks while carrying far more personal significance than any accessory coordination rule.

• Fragrance — FR-003 (Roberto Ugolini Oxford): Roberto Ugolini Oxford is a woody-aromatic fougère extrait with citrus, lavender, aromatic herbs, woods, and subtle leather. It reads classic, refined, and office-safe for a business day, with enough presence to feel polished without becoming intrusive.
