Fun weekend with a baseball tournament for my younger son (made it to the championship game, but lost there - still playing a year above our age group) and a party (with bounce houseS...) for my older son (yeah.... older son).
Lots of video calls in the early day, too many errands for the company outside in middle of the day, and thus this got pushed until the end of the work day. Looking forward to wearing my new Carminas around the house when I get home to help break them in. I suspect braided suede slippers (still with leather soles) will be easier to break in?
• Odd Jacket — DOJ-002 (John W. Nordstrom): A luxurious beige cashmere blazer with full gray/brown lining and two tan/brown horn buttons. Notched lapels and double rear vents give it a classic silhouette, while the sumptuous cashmere provides an elevated texture perfect for a warm/cool contrast against cooler trousers.
• Slacks — SL-004 (JW Nordstrom): Dark blue textured wool slacks with faint, varying checks and a medium drape that moves well without feeling heavy. Belt-looped with a regular cuff, they create excellent visual separation from the beige jacket while maintaining business formality.
• Shirt — DS-043 (Charles Tyrwhitt): A sky blue non-iron herringbone dress shirt with spread collar and French cuffs. High opacity cotton with a moderately soft hand and exceptional stitch density—the herringbone pattern adds subtle visual interest while the French cuffs elevate the look for client-facing calls.
• Undershirt — US-002 (Ralph Lauren Polo): A soft white cotton crew-neck undershirt that disappears beneath the high-opacity sky blue shirt. Classic Ralph Lauren quality for all-day comfort.
• Tie — NT-055 (Kirby Allison): A navy swirl jacquard tie in 100% English silk, three-fold construction with premium interlining. At 8.5cm (3.35") width and 59" length with low sheen, it projects business formal gravitas while the white swirl pattern adds sophisticated movement on camera.
• Vest — VWC-004 (Perry Ellis): A natural linen herringbone vest with five cream/bone buttons and silver dual-direction rear buckle. The summer-weight linen provides breathability while the warm neutral tone bridges the beige jacket and cool blue trousers beautifully.
• Belt — B-001 (Hanks): A black fully lined leather belt with silver buckle and edge stitching. Clean, structured, and perfectly matched to the black Oxfords—a reliable foundation piece.
• Footwear — DSh-004 (Magnanni): Spanish-crafted black cap-toe Oxfords in Blake-stitched corrected leather. The round toe and slight heel taper project business formality, while the Bologna construction provides glove-like comfort for long days.
• Socks — DSo-075 (Fort Belvedere): Italian compacted cotton over-the-calf socks in gray with blue shadow stripes. Midweight construction with matte finish—the subtle pattern echoes the blue story without drawing attention.
• Cufflinks — CL-008 (Charles Tyrwhitt): Flat glass-like discs with interior spoke detail in cobalt blue and silver. The enamel T-bar cufflinks pick up the blue tones from the shirt and tie while adding quiet refinement to the French cuffs.
• Pocket Square — PS-009 (Fort Belvedere): White Irish linen with signature blue X-stitch edging. A 14" square presented in a TV fold—conservative, crisp, and perfectly aligned with the outfit's blue/white color story.
• Tie Bar — TA-011 (Sonia Jewels): A 2" polished slide-on tie bar in 925 sterling silver. Minimalist and functional, keeping the silk tie properly anchored without competing for visual attention.
• Left Watch — W-008 (Orient Bambino): The Bambino Version 7 Small Seconds with white/silver sunburst dial and black leather strap. A classic 38.4mm dress watch with dauphine hands and small seconds complication at 6 o'clock—refined Japanese craftsmanship perfect for client-facing occasions.
• Ankle Watch — W-001 (Apple Watch 10): The slate titanium Apple Watch 10 for notifications and health tracking. Brushed finish keeps it understated on a place no one will see.
• Pen — P-001 (Montblanc 146): The Montblanc Meisterstück LeGrand in black precious resin with platinum trim. A 14K gold nib with rhodium inlay and currently inked with Moderna Red—a leadership-grade writing instrument for notes during client discussions.

• Ring — R-001 (Ellie's Jewelry): Platinum wedding band with diamonds. Always present.
• Fragrance — FR-001 (Montblanc Legend): An aromatic fougère with bergamot, lavender, and oakmoss. Clean, professional, moderate sillage with 5-7 hour longevity—perfect for video calls where presence matters but shouldn't overwhelm.
Color Story: Warm/Cool Contrast—Beige cashmere and natural linen provide warm, approachable tones up top, while navy, sky blue, and dark blue ground the outfit in professional cool tones below. Silver metals throughout maintain cohesion.
