Linen over cotton
Good evening gents! With temperatures rising in London I decided it was time to finally give linen the chance it deserves. Having only worn linen shirts, opting for linen trousers to match was new to me. But, it was a chance I was willing to take. In my commute, I found myself feeling incredibly comfortable and even told some workmates how relieved I felt when I took a chance on something new.
I couldn’t help noticing how many men were still wearing heavier cotton shirts and full suits. Many looked far less comfortable than they probably wanted to be.
For this outfit I went with:
- Oatmeal collarless linen shirt — Charles Tyrwhitt
- Navy linen trousers — Charles Tyrwhitt
- Brown leather belt — Anson Belt
- Brown loafers — Thursday Boots
- Black no-show socks
- Vincero Chrono with brown alligator leather strap
What surprised me most was how comfortable the outfit remained throughout the day while still feeling suitably smart for the office.
