While sharing a delightful dinner with my son, and guests at a lovely restaurant this past weekend, I observed the disappointingly relaxed sartorial choices made by several men in our vicinity. My son, gently dismissed my observation by stating that their appearance was not his problem, I recognized a profound opportunity to offer a loving correction regarding the philosophy of personal presentation.
I shared with him Tom Ford’s enduring wisdom, which posits that presenting oneself with intentional elegance is never about vanity, but rather serves as a fundamental expression of respect for the shared environment and the people within it.
I furthered my point that my deepest hope is that he will always carry himself with the grace and dignity that honors not only his own character, but also the world he navigates, elevating every space he enters.
