Fender Strat
I was using a Squire telecaster for about 2 years. That was the sound I needed playing in a multi genre band. For the money, the guitar was okay. About 3 or 4 months ago I bought a real fender Stratocaster with a maple neck and Seymour Duncan pickups. Not a common guitar, but it does give you the ability to go from a clean to a dirty sound. This model actually has locking tuners. Extremely easy to change strings, no revolutions necessary. Playing regular 3-hour gigs, I rarely have to retune. The squire on the other hand, I needed to check constantly. It was probably the inexpensive tuning machines on it.
