Hi everyone! 👋 I’m Laura from Brooklyn NY (originally from Sicily) and I’m excited to be part of this community. My professional background is a little different from property management, but I believe a lot of it translates directly. I’ve spent 14+ years with MSC in the shipping and logistics industry, where I currently lead a nationwide Intermodal Pricing team. My experience has been heavily focused on leadership, operations, pricing, problem-solving, customer relationships, process improvement, and managing multiple moving pieces at once. Alongside my corporate career, I’ve been building my knowledge and involvement in real estate investing, with the bigger goal of creating financial and time freedom through real estate. One area I’m particularly interested in now is property management. I want to learn how to take the operational and leadership skills I’ve developed throughout my career and translate them into successfully managing real estate—not only my own investments, but eventually managing properties for other investors and creating an active-income stream through property management. I’m especially interested in learning the business side: acquiring clients, building systems, tenant relations, maintenance, financial management, scaling a portfolio, and what it actually takes to run a profitable PM operation. I’m here to learn, take action, and make the transition from corporate leadership into building something of my own in real estate.
