I was looking at my calendar and noticed that next Tuesday is National Taco Day (who knew?! 😆). Which made me think of this fun mom hack I’ve used for years. I use obscure holidays like National Taco Day, National Grilled Cheese Day, and Pi Day for meal inspiration and a fun family activity. I mean you have to have tacos on National Taco Day, right?! And bonus—a lot of restaurants will do deals on the day too like Krispy Kreme who gives out 1 free doughnut per person on National Doughnut Day. 🍩 Do any of you do this too? What obscure holidays do you celebrate?

Prepped some chicken salad sandwiches with leftover rotisserie chicken. For 9/10 kids while I go visit the hubby in the hospital with another collapsed lung and also pulmonary embolism this time to shake things up. Hopefully he gets to come home tomorrow, the kids miss him and don't have a working van to get them all to the hospital at the moment.

A fun birthday cake

My 10 year old decided she was going to clean the bathtub. She has never been shown how to clean the bathtub. So she dumped lotion in the tub. Followed by water. Then she took my spray bottle that I only put water in and filled it with lotion and water and sprayed the tub. Afterwards she closed the shower curtain and let everything sit.

Last night I went to my first concert as an adult. (I’m an introvert and loud spaces aren’t my thing lol) My daughter has loved this artist for 6-7 years and asked me to go with her to see him. I was honored she didn’t ask a friend or someone else. And of course I said yes! It was totally out of my comfort zone but I loved having that memory with her! What’s something you’ve done with your kids that’s out of your comfort zone?
