The idea behind the product is simple.
I want to send NIM to David, but I don’t know his wallet address.
With NimCarry, I can create a private payment link for David using his name first. I send him the link, he opens it and chooses the Nimiq wallet where he wants to receive the payment.
Once he has chosen his wallet, I can send 1 NIM directly to him.
If I cannot reach David myself, I can ask someone who knows him to make the introduction. That person is only there to connect us. They never receive or hold the NIM.
One part I also wanted to make very clear in the new experience is what happens after the payment is approved.
An approval does not mean the transaction was broadcast, and a broadcast does not mean it is final.
NimCarry keeps checking the transaction independently and tells the sender not to send again while verification is still happening.
The route only becomes ARRIVED when the Nimiq network confirms FINAL.
The new interface is built around the idea of a private letter. You write it, seal it, the recipient opens it, and once the payment is actually confirmed, it receives its final arrival stamp.
The video shows the complete new experience.
For actual TESTNET payments, NimCarry uses Nimiq Pay. There is also a Practice Mode where anyone can try the full flow without signing or sending NIM.

I’m particularly interested in one question now.
If you had never used crypto before, would this flow make sense to you?
