💡 Sip & Ship 2: Let’s Brainstorm Mini App Ideas!
At next week’s Sip & Ship, we’ll brainstorm Mini App ideas, explore the four competition categories, and help each other find interesting problems worth solving. You don’t need to have everything figured out yet. Sometimes all it takes is a conversation to turn a rough idea into something worth building. In the meantime, head to the forums below and share what you’re thinking about. You might get feedback, find inspiration, or even connect with someone who wants to build something similar. 💸 PAY Ideas 🪙 SAVE Ideas 📈 EARN Ideas 🔄 ON/OFF-RAMP Ideas 📅 Wednesday, October 21 at 11 AM ET 🎙️ Join on Zoom 🔑 Passcode: MiniApps

Hey everyone! I won’t be able to join tomorrow’s Sip & Ship, but I’m doing some research for Cycle III and would love to learn from real experiences. A couple of open questions: 1. Have you ever tried using Nimiq Pay for an everyday financial task and ended up switching to another app or doing it manually? 2. What was the most frustrating part of that experience? 3. Is there something you’ve wanted to accomplish with Nimiq Pay but haven’t found a practical way to do yet? I’m particularly interested in actual experiences rather than hypothetical feature requests. If you’d prefer to share privately, feel free to DM me. I’d be happy to learn more. Looking forward to seeing what comes out of the session! Thank you
Nimiq Pay builders: what’s the hardest wallet flow you’ve had to test?
Hey everyone! First off, huge congrats to all the Cycle II winners! 🎉 Really cool to see what everyone built, and plenty of inspiration heading into Cycle III. I built NimCarry for Cycle II, and I’m researching what would genuinely help builders and users for Cycle III before committing to another product. I’m particularly interested in real-device testing, wallet payment failures, and verifying whether an issue has actually been fixed. Three quick questions: 1. What specific Nimiq Pay flow gave you trouble? 2. How did you diagnose and resolve it? 3. Would you allocate a small NIM budget for someone to reproduce that issue and independently verify your fix? A “no” is just as useful as a “yes.” I’m not promoting a finished app or looking for private wallet data. I’m trying to understand the real problems first. Happy to exchange testing feedback with other builders. Looking forward to seeing what everyone creates for Cycle III! 🙌

@Chidera Ugorji I tried the daily puzzle flow and it was easy to understand. History/streaks are a nice touch. I’d just add a small message when someone enters something that isn’t a valid word.

@Onyechere Oloba I went through the full create flow and actually sealed one.Naming the capsule, adding a note and photo, seeing the optional NIM gift, picking the unlock date and adding the recipient email all felt pretty straightforward on mobile. I also checked the capsule afterward in the vault, alerts and profile, which I liked because the experience doesn’t just stop at the success screen. I did catch one date issue though. When I selected 1 month, the date field showed Oct 26, 2026, but the preview and the final sealed screen said Oct 25, 2026. I’d definitely check that one because it’s the kind of thing that matters a lot for a time capsule. Other than that, the flow was easy to follow and the idea feels pretty natural once you start creating one.
NimCarry has a new UI/UX.
The idea behind the product is simple. I want to send NIM to David, but I don’t know his wallet address. With NimCarry, I can create a private payment link for David using his name first. I send him the link, he opens it and chooses the Nimiq wallet where he wants to receive the payment. Once he has chosen his wallet, I can send 1 NIM directly to him. If I cannot reach David myself, I can ask someone who knows him to make the introduction. That person is only there to connect us. They never receive or hold the NIM. One part I also wanted to make very clear in the new experience is what happens after the payment is approved. An approval does not mean the transaction was broadcast, and a broadcast does not mean it is final. NimCarry keeps checking the transaction independently and tells the sender not to send again while verification is still happening. The route only becomes ARRIVED when the Nimiq network confirms FINAL. The new interface is built around the idea of a private letter. You write it, seal it, the recipient opens it, and once the payment is actually confirmed, it receives its final arrival stamp. The video shows the complete new experience. For actual TESTNET payments, NimCarry uses Nimiq Pay. There is also a Practice Mode where anyone can try the full flow without signing or sending NIM. Live app: https://nimcarry.faadil-casecraft.workers.dev GitHub: https://github.com/Faadil1/nimcarry I’m particularly interested in one question now. If you had never used crypto before, would this flow make sense to you?
