Shark Mindset
I just got a job in finance and I am working on getting rid of my “customer service” mindset and transitioning into the “shark mindset” I would take when negotiating with dudes that have eyes tattooed on their eye lids and black widows crawling out their ears dripping a row a year drops on their cheeks…
I am loosing some deals because I am treating clients way too softly and not coaching them to make the best decision for their situation to avoid upsetting them as I have been accustomed to when dealing with “north” clients…
What suggestions do you guys have or content you can recommend for me to find a happy medium between being respectful and being what I call a “shark” pushing clients to make the best decision for their situation and breaking their anxiety over having to give up credit cards to be able to negotiate with their creditors to settle on the debts?
I’ve got 3 deals waiting to close but I’ve lost over 6 deals my first week here due to my kind polite “customer service” mindset… that’s $1800 out the door so far on these deals I let go because customer said they weren’t interested and I just said “ok no problem” 🤦🏼‍♂️🤦🏼‍♂️
