Travis' Liver/Kidney/Lipid Panel With Insomnia suggestion from AI
I ran my numbers through Google AI. This is the breakdown that it gave. Afterwards , I asked it what about this can be causing my sleep is be disturbed (waking every 2 hours or so). I am just posting this here and will comeback at a later time (its dinner time now!) to put in my own reflections. Of course, @Maurice Daher your input and/or AI corrections are always welcome! (Yes, this isn't a full panel that Maurice usually asks for.. but it is what I have from the VA). Maurice, should i break this down into 2 chats? One for the bloods breakdown and one for the sleep issue? It's a long thread, but its all related! Here is a concise summary of your kidney panel results. Overall, these numbers show excellent, completely normal kidney health and filtration. 🩸 Blood Results (Filtration Speed & Waste) - Serum Creatinine (0.85 mg/dL): Normal. This is a steady muscle waste product. Your level sits comfortably in the ideal range (typically 0.6–1.1 mg/dL), meaning your kidneys are clearing it efficiently. - eGFR (>90 mL/min/1.73m²): Excellent. This calculates your actual kidney filtering speed. Any score above 90 represents full, normal kidney function operating at top speed. 🧪 Urine Results (Filter Security) - Random Urine Creatinine (28.7 mg/dL): Normal but dilute. This number simply reflects your hydration. A lower number here usually just means you drank plenty of fluids before giving the sample. - Microalbumin (<1.2 mg/dL): Excellent. This measures whether important proteins are "leaking" past your kidney filters. Your level is so low it is virtually undetectable, which is the ideal result. - Microalbumin/Creatinine Ratio (UTC): Normal. "UTC" means "Unable to Calculate." Because your microalbumin leakage was effectively zero, the lab computer could not perform the division math. In this context, a UTC ratio is great news. The Big Picture Your kidneys are filtering your blood at maximum capacity, waste is not building up in your system, and your kidney filters are tight and secure (leaking no protein).
New Lab Results - after 9 months

My diet remains "low carb" at about 60-80g net carbs per day, but I rotate meals among fish, red meat/organs and legumes like lentils. Cravings continue to be absent, I am still trying to control my "mania" for dairy (yoghurts) and sweet stuff like allulose and fruits 7) Cut coffee to one cup a day, changed from french press to filter and I have it 2h after waking up and only in morning

Lab results for June 4, 2026 consultation
@Maurice Daher I'm providing my recent lab results for my June 4, 2026 consultation with you regarding my thyroid and heart health. I look forward to discussing how I can further improve my thyroid and heart health (any anything else that needs to be fixed). I had some thyroid lab results from April 20, 2026 for my physician and then again on May 20, 2026 for a 90 day follow-up to my first consultation with you. Here are the results. 4/20/2026 (Thyroid only) TSH: 13.04 (was taking 50 mg of Lugol's 5% iodine a day) Free T3: 3.9 (after taking 5 mcg of liothyronine about 2 hours before blood draw) Free T4: 0.5 Reverse T3: 5 TPO: 1 TgAB: <2 5/22/26 (Thyroid and Heart) TSH: 10.25 (reduced Lugol's 5% iodine to 25 mg a day) Free T3: 3.5 (after taking 5 mcg of liothyronine about 3 hours before blood draw) Free T4: 0.6 Reverse T3: 5 Apo B: 174 (was 225 when tested on 10/2/24) Lp(a): <10 (tested on 10/2/24) LP PLA2: 132 Oxidized LDL: 73 Fibrinogen: 305 HDL APO C3: 53.06 HS CRP: 1 Homocysteine: 5.6 Insulin: 3.6 Estradiol: <30 F2 Isoprostane: <0.2 Creatine, urine 41 F2 Isoprostane/Creatine ratio: <0.48
Updated Lab Results for Review
@Maurice Daher Attached is my blood work results spreadsheet. I'm not sure where to start as several markers are up, then down. In March 2026, I consulted with you after my liver panel numbers flew off the chart. My body was also feeling differently for the past couple of months. We determined that my intake of fat grams was much too high and that I needed to cut back on fat. I also introduced walking (or other stress movements) for 10 - 20 minutes after each meal. Four weeks later, my liver numbers had returned to more acceptable levels. In early April, my APO B and cholesterol jumped significantly. I consulted with you again as I was concerned about this significant shift. I thought that these markers would go down since I was reducing fat in my diet. I didn't realize that the body still needs to adapt to ratio changes that I made, i.e., higher fat grams to protein ratio ➡️ higher protein to fat grams ratio. Sure enough, after 60 days of maintaining my higher protein to fat grams ratio, my APO B and cholesterol numbers eased. My liver numbers also seemed to level out (except my AST jumped a bit). It's now been ~140 days since I reduced the amount of daily fat. I continue to consume more total protein grams than total fat grams. I expected my APO B level to drop from that of June. My triglyercides decreased 10 points and my Oxidized LDL went to 29 (both of which I'm happy about). I am concerned though about several other markers and have highlighted them in yellow. My Vit B12 continues to exceed >2000 pg/mL for more than 75 days. My insulin also jumped to 4.1 from 2.1 during this same period and my glucose hit 103 (from 90). I ran more thyroid panel markers when I had my blood work done 2 weeks ago. My Free T3 level still suggests I'm undereating. RE: Free T3 level... I'm eating 2 - 3 meals a day. I eat until I'm stuffed each time. I'm eating primarily organic grass fed ground beef (w/ some lamb and renegrade beef mixed in), organic grass fed yogurt and organic grass fed cheese. I introduced organic grass fed kefir about 2 weeks ago to make egg nog. I was scrambling my organic pasture raised eggs or cooking the eggs as an omelette. I now know the impact of cooking eggs so I started separating the yolk from the white and blending it with kefir. I add a teaspoon of pumpkin spice and vanilla and it's absolutely delicious! This is how I intend to consume my eggs from now on. I cooked the whites and consume them separately. I also make my own L. Reuteri yogurt with organic half and half. I also eat organic chicken sausage a few times a week. This is it though. I know you stress for us not to count calories. What guidance can you provide me on how much food I should consume daily? Should I try to squeeze in a 4th meal? I walk for 15-20 minutes twice a day, then usually do air squats and push-ups for 15 - 20 minutes after dinner. I work out at the gym 4X/week.
