The whole point of this course is to approach creativity like an artist, not like a robot. Your inner artist needs inspiration. That's why we spend time getting in touch with our formative influences. We also need inspiration in the specific area we're practicing in.
What this looks like
I follow dozens of content creators I really enjoy, most in different niches with completely different aesthetics to mine. I look at their lighting, their colours, their editing, the way they talk, the energy they transmit. I don't copy them exactly, but I do borrow ideas that inspire me.
How to apply it
Find a bunch of creators you like. You probably already follow some of them. When you're stuck for ideas or formats, go through your save folder and try a simple format you've seen from a favourite creator. Pick one element to copy and change everything else around it.
As the saying goes: good artists borrow, great artists steal.
What's next
