Vacation Wins
Just back from a week away on vacation and weighed in 1 pound down from when I left! Whoop! Made smart choices, cooked in our room for Breakfast, pre-made protiens for lunch and snacks on the go. Dinner was out most nights, I struggled a bit with some menus at certain locations (brugers!) but overall, I only went over calories (and fat!) one day. I can see how food makes me FEEL now, and it wasn't great after the burger place. (I started meal tracking 3 weeks before officially joining the program.) I missed my first week of workouts, but starting this week with those. Still trying to figure out the program, just gonna keep taking it one step at a time!

Survived!!!
Well, after 3 days of celebrating with family and friends, I’ve learned a lot. Even though I blew passed several of my macro and calorie goals and missed my workouts I think it was an overall win in the right direction. By logging my food and drink it kept me in “check”. I can’t imagine what those numbers would have looked like if I tracked in the past. There would have been many sodas, beers, sides like cole slaw, potato salad, macaroni salad, a few more burgers and hot dogs. Oh my, all those past BBQ’s had to be easily 10k in calories with enormous amounts of carbs and fats!!! Goals for the next holiday will be better planning and creating time for those workouts. Let’s go!
