Applying cob onto plywood
Last year we built a little bodega out of pallets and plywood. Before a stumbled upon Living Earth structures my plan was to screw a bunch small branches onto the plywood so the cob would have something to grab onto. After watching the Level videos of the acobe oven I’m thinking that the branches are an overkill and all I need is to apply some clay slip to the plywood. Thoughts? I’ve attached a picture of the bodega. My friend started to cover the bodega with tar paper and chicken wire. I’ve since removed the chicken wire and tar paper. We built a little stone foundation around the bottom of the structure.

Soil Test
I took 2 samples of soil from my lot. Sample 1 was taken from sub soil that was recently uncovered by a mini excavator. Sample 2 was taken from a big pile of soil that was recently moved around by the excavator. Will these soils work for cob construction?

Pine Straw
Has anyone experimented with using pine straw instead of regular stamraw for a cob mix and/or for insulation on a pallet cob? Just curious because I've got tons and tons of pine straw around here.
Fancy floors
Would you do this on the floors especially if cob was II size? Take a look. https://www.instagram.com/reel/DSITzGMDN2K/?igsh=MTZ6MGV3emd2cGptaQ==
Hey Everyone! 👋
I'm new to the group and am really excited about natural building and permaculture. I'd love to hear from anyone with experience dealing with building codes/more restrictive areas and how best to navigate building pallet cob structures in those places. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!
