Citrus Vinaigrette Recipe
Hello everyone. I previously shared a lemon vinaigrette recipe that was super quick and easy. The recipe below requires a few more ingredients, but it uses orange, lemon and lime. Definitely a little sweeter because of the orange juice and touch of honey, and absolutely delicious. You can eliminate the honey all together if you are not eating any sugars. I recommend using fresh squeezed juice as well. It makes all the difference! This recipe makes over a quart, so you can cut in half if you like. The vinaigrette should keep in the fridge for up to a week.
Ingredients:
2 Cups Orange Juice
1/4 Cup Lemon Juice
1/4 Cup Lime Juice
1/2 Cup Distilled White Vinegar
2 Tbsp Red Onion, fine minced
2 Cups Avocado Oil
2 Tbsp Honey (raw unfiltered is best)
1/2 Tbsp Cilantro, fine minced
1/2 tsp Salt
1/4 tsp Black Pepper
Once you’ve made this for the first time, adjust based on your preferences. You can add a little more or less of each citrus, try a different vinegar, substitute basil or another fresh herb, etc. Part of what makes playing in the kitchen fun is making things your own. Hope you enjoy!
Eat well.
