Mindful Monday
I hope everyone had a great weekend! Today, I have a question I look forward to hearing your thoughts on. Think about your health when answering... How do you want to feel by the end of this week? What needs to happen to create that feeling? I'll kick us off! I want to feel energized after a busy week. For me, that means taking small breaks, no matter how busy I am, so I can move my body, do some deep breathing, and turn my "doing brain" off for a bit.

I want my injured foot to feel so good that I'm no longer thinking about it every waking moment. To that end, I called the doctor's office (again!) and made an appointment for someone to look at it. So, I guess this is about self-advocacy. I'm much better at advocating for others than for myself. I am a work-in-progress!

Very cold in Massachusetts but sunny, so no complaints. Just January in New England! My husband actually went hiking in NH today. Even if my foot was back in working order, winter hiking is NOT my thing! πŸ₯ΎπŸ”️

@Jeanna Finch I want to try out my snowshoes so badly! The past few winters haven't been snowy enough and, now that we have snow, my foot is injured. That said, I'm not so sure about a snowshoe hike...flat ground sounds much more appealing!

Transformation Thursday - Client Win
Wanted to share this text (client name cropped out) from a client who was struggling with high blood pressure, even on daily medication. He got his BP into normal range and lost 20 lbs. :) This was someone who thought he was "doing everything right." But unfortunately, there is a lot of misinformation out there and even doctors often don't understand how to come at things from a nutritional perspective. These client wins are why I jump out of bed every day and love this work! Anyone else have a win to share today?

I love how this client starting "Diet" with a capital D, which speaks to it being a special "thing" as opposed to a fundamental lifestyle change. Awesome to see real, clinically meaningful change!

The categories I am suggesting are below and I would also love to see ideas for future challenges in the comments. :)

Another challenge idea is to develop an evening routine to encourage solid sleep. Or maybe tracking and decreasing non-work related screen time. Maybe a caffeine elimination challenge (speaking personally here!).
