I'm Carole. I'm 62 years old. I'm a certified personal trainer, nutrition coach, and meditation instructor. And I'm in the best shape of my life. A few years ago, I couldn't bend over to tie my own shoes. I hurt my back doing yardwork. I'd gained and lost the same 30 pounds for three decades. I was tired, frustrated, and honestly a little scared that this was just what getting older looked like. Then I started strength training. I learned how to actually fuel my body — when to cut back, when to eat more, and why. I stopped guessing and started building. Lost the weight and kept it off. The number on the scale is actually a bit higher now but my clothes all fit better. That's what muscle does. This community is for women who are ready to stop accepting that getting older means slowing down. Welcome!
11 new members this week. Most of you know I already sweat with in real life. So you know what you're getting into. 😜 I'm going to be honest — I'm brand new at this online thing. I'm still figuring out video editing and it's humbling. But you already know what I'm about. You've seen it firsthand. Now I just want to bring that same energy here. This week I got every strength workout in despite a packed schedule. Played a round at the Cowboys Club and I'm hitting the ball longer than I have in years. Didn't play a single round last year. The difference? Core strength. That's it. One thing leads to another. Hiked with the boys this morning. They're filling in for my London crew while I'm away —they are good sports. And I've been bouncing solo which is... not nearly as fun without my Bounce House crew. But I'm still doing it. Because that's the point. This community is where we talk about all of it. The taco salad! My favorite way to eat salad. 6 oz of ground beef gets me over 30 grams of protein. A sprinkle of cheese adds a bit more. Mixed greens, avocado, cucumbers, red onion and cherry tomatoes add fibre and all kinds of nutrients. Top it off will spicy salsa and there’s another easy, delicious high protein meal. Put it on the rotation. Can you make your favourite salad a high protein choice? Show us your go to for salads that make muscles! 💪

I Just Did the Thing
I just recorded my About page video. Third take. No script. Just me talking. If you'd told me a month ago I'd be building an online community and recording videos of myself talking to a camera, I would have laughed. But here's what I know. I'm 62. I'm in the best shape of my life. And I have something worth sharing. I spent 30 years losing and gaining the same 30 pounds. I hurt my back doing yardwork and couldn't tie my own shoes. Then I found strength training and learned how to actually fuel my body. Everything changed. And it stuck. Almost 5 years now. So here I am. Building this thing one step at a time. Figuring it out as I go. Kind of like that first week in the gym when nothing made sense but you keep showing up anyway. If you're new here — welcome. I'm really glad you found this place.
