Back home. Back to it. What did I miss?
Just drove two days from Texas with my son. Put my phone away the entire trip. Best decision I made all week. Now I'm home. Rode my bike this morning. About to attack a garden project. Workouts planned for the whole week. It feels good to be back in my routine. There's something about your own home, your own kitchen, your own gym that just makes everything click. What about you? i totally agree …. being home and in a routine allows you to take good care of yourself and feel your best . Being on the road is wonderful, but can be hard .
I reached my goal!
I set a goal in January to do toes to bar. For anyone who doesn't know what that is — you hang from a pull-up bar and bring your toes all the way up to touch it. It requires core strength, grip strength, and a level of body control I honestly wasn't sure I had. I thought it would take me all year. Last week I got my first one. Then I did 3 sets of 5. Yesterday I hit 8. I'm not telling you this to impress you. I'm telling you because 5 years ago I Struggled to bend over to tie my shoes. And now I'm hanging from a bar touching my toes to it. The body is capable of so much more than we give it credit for. At any age. What's a goal you've set for yourself that scares you a little? Tell me about it. 💪

protein breakfast
My most important meal to me is breakfast.. I enjoy two eggs with some veggies and half a cup of cottage cheese . Also an apple and 1 ounce of walnuts. That gives me 30 grams of protein, some fibre and fat . Do you think that is a healthy breakfast? does that check all the boxes ?
