West Vs The Rest PT. 1
Today, I watched a video of an Iraqi girl being murdered by her own family for refusing to marry her cousin.
Incidents like this are disturbingly common in many Middle Eastern and Oriental cultures, particularly those where Islamic traditions run deep.
This is why I reject the idea that all cultures are equal.
Western culture offers far greater individual freedom and protection for its citizens than most others it is uniquely benevolent in that regard.
Yet many on the left insist that all cultures are equally valid and good, while almost completely ignoring or downplaying the darker realities of non-Western societies.
