This landing page layout has generated over 1 million qualified MVA leads...
When I first saw this type of page performing, I thought: “Seriously? This basic thing?”
But when you break it down against the LIFT model (credit to Chris Goward at WiderFunnel), it makes perfect sense. Let's dive into it:
1) Relevance -- The headline mirrors exactly what the prospect is searching for. No guessing.. you know you're in the right place when you land on the page.
2) Value Prop -- Most legal pages say, “Fill out this form to speak with an attorney.” That’s boring. It feels like work. This one though, “Find out how much you can be compensated today.” It anchors the reward. Huge psychological edge.
3) Clarity -- The design is almost too simple. But clarity beats “pretty” design every single time. A hill I'll die on.
4) Anxiety -- This is where so many pages screw up. Confusion and friction kill conversions. This page lowers anxiety by:
- Leading with the outcome (get compensated).
- Starting with a zero-friction question (injured or not?).
- Offering a free case evaluation.
- Using a real face + social proof so people know who’s behind the form.
5) Distractions -- Legal landing pages usually look like a Christmas tree. Flashing popups, tons of CTAs, content overloaded. This one cuts it all out. One path forward, no noise.
6) Urgency -- The only piece that’s missing here. If I were running this, I’d test urgency copy like: “Only X free case evaluations left today.” Sometimes that can backfire though, so I'm always careful when adding urgency.
This page also uses our Lead Engage feature, that little popup in the corner. There’s something about having a face looking back at you that makes you want to engage, especially when it triggers on exit intent. (Only available on LeadCapture, by the way.)
I think this is the perfect example of what I’ve been saying for years: you don’t need some over-engineered “funnel” to convert. You need a page that’s stupidly simple but built on the right principles. And to that point, we’ve shifted our roadmap and what we're working on a bit... we've got something HUGE in the works to make building these kinds of high-converting pages even easier. It’s going to be game changing. I don't want to say too much yet, but you can probably guess what it is. Stay tuned for updates
