Clarifying what a contractor means by ready
The lead-form wording discussion caught my attention because I’ve spent over 20 years in contracting and now work in sales. “Ready to start” could mean ready to talk, ready for an estimate, or ready for someone to show up with tools. Those are different conversations.
I’m interested in how you make the expectation clear before the first call without turning a simple form into an interrogation. Which question best helps you understand what the customer expects to happen next?
