Quick share with the JJFA crew.
Iām currently writing a TED-style talk that I hope to present on a big stage one day, and I wanted to give you guys a glimpse into how I think when I build these ideasābecause this one feels way too relatable to Jiu-Jitsu.
Iām sure weāve all played the original Mario on NES.
Then one of your so-called friendsāthe Toadsāhits you with:
āThank you Mario! But Princess Peach is in another castle.ā
Bro⦠WHAT?! š¤š
Same Bowser.
Same fight.
Same trash talk.
Back to square one.
And thatās when it clicked for meāthatās life.
Bowser isnāt just an enemy you defeat once.
Bowser is the same problem that keeps showing up:
⢠the same bad habits
⢠the same doubts
⢠the same ego
⢠the same fear
⢠the same comfort zone
And those Toads?
Thatās the noise.
The opinions.
The internal voice saying, āYou should be further by now.ā
But hereās the truthā¦
Every level you beat, youāre still better than you were beforeāeven if it feels like youāre fighting the same boss again.
Thatās Jiu-Jitsu.
Thatās growth.
Thatās the grind.
And you keep going.
Appreciate you guys letting me share a piece of what Iām working on.
See you on the mats.
