Mouthguard brands?
Thinking of getting a new mouthguard. What recommendations does everybody have for brands?

I've had my Impact mouthguard for more than 2 years at least, it's still very durable so far

Quick question for the room 👇 What’s the hardest part of Jiu-Jitsu for YOU right now? Not the highlight-reel stuff. Not what you wish you were good at. The real struggle. • Getting smashed and staying calm 😤 • Remembering techniques under pressure 🧠 • Cardio falling off halfway through rounds 🫁 • Confidence before training or competition 😬 • Balancing life + training + recovery ⚖️ • Or something nobody ever talks about… Drop it in the comments ⬇️ No judgment. No ego. Just growth. This community gets better when we’re honest. Somebody in here has already been through what you’re dealing with and that’s how we all level up 💪🔥 Let’s talk. Let’s build. Let’s roll. 🥋🤝

The hardest part for me has been trying to make sure I understand the technique enough to help anyone that might ask me for help. Because if I can't even understand it much less perform it, I know that I wouldn't be able to expect someone to know the technique from me when they ask me.
YOUR JIU-JITSU STORY STARTS HERE
🎥 INTRODUCE YOURSELF: This is your spot to step in, show your face (or voice 👀), and tell the community who you are and why jiu-jitsu matters to you. Post a short video (30–90 seconds) and hit as many of these as you want: 1️⃣ Who you are Name, where you’re from, and how long you’ve been training (or if you’re brand new). 2️⃣ Why you started jiu-jitsu What pulled you onto the mats? Fitness, confidence, self-defense, competition, mental health, community — whatever it was. 3️⃣ What you LOVE about jiu-jitsu Be honest. The grind, the problem-solving, the chaos, the discipline, the people, the way it humbles you — all of it counts. 4️⃣ Where you’re at right now Beginner? Returning after time off? Competing? Just trying to survive rounds and breathe? 😅 No judgment here. 5️⃣ Your goals Short-term and long-term: - Get in shape - Learn the fundamentals - Compete - Build confidence - Stay consistent - Train for life Say it out loud. It matters. 6️⃣ One thing you’re working on Could be technical, physical, or mental: - Guard retention - Escapes - Cardio - Staying calm under pressure - Showing up consistently 💬 After you post: Drop a comment on at least one other intro and welcome them in. This is how the culture gets built. This community isn’t about ego, belts, or highlight reels. It’s about real people, real stories, and real progress — on and off the mats. Let’s hear your story 👊🥋🔥

Hey everyone, my name is Chris Burns. I live in Northeast Georgia where I train in Anderson, SC. I've been training for over 5 years now and a 4 stripe Blue belt. I started jiu-jitsu around a month or so after I got back into Judo during 2020 (now a brown belt) and have been long the sport ever since. Because there wasn't much Judo tournaments going on, I still wanted to compete, so I did quite a lot of jiu-jitsu tournaments to challenge myself against unknown waters. With my aspergers, I love the training aspect where I have to make sure that I allow myself to go through the grind that many folks might fold under. I love being able to apply what i've learned from sessions try them in competing because it helps me be able to problem solve on the spot knowing that someone is trying to make me yield. The mental readiness is what probably pulled me onto the mats because I feel as though no matter how physically tough someone might look, if you're not mentally prepared for what might happen, the outcome might be worse than if you were mentally prepared. Honestly, I'm at a point where I'm wanting to set the standard on what is to be expected to not only those who are in the same rank as me, but to those who are still young in this sport. I've been trying to make sure that I hold myself accountable whenever there are times when I'm not being honest with myself on how I'm doing in sessions, because sometimes I struggle with accepting that sometimes it's okay to not be at your best, as long as I'm simply able to learn what's being taught and being able to overcome any fears that might come. As of this moment, I'm trying to always remind myself that no matter what I try to prepare for, that adaptability is a great trait to have, even in times off the mats (jobs, other hobbies, life, marriage, etc.) Some of my goals consist of competing under as much NFC events (Brew-Jitsu or anything jiu-jitsu related) along with competing in Judo more this year to try and achieve black belt rank.
