WELCOME
Welcome to Greggo's Tri Chat! 🚀🏊‍♂️🚴‍♂️🏃‍♂️ Hi everyone, and a huge welcome to the group! I'm Greg McDermott, your coach with Koa Sports, and I'm thrilled you've joined us here on Skool. This community is all about connecting our athletes—whether you're a beginner building your first tri, chasing age-group podiums, qualifying for Worlds, or simply loving the swim-bike-run lifestyle. It's a space to share training wins (and those tough sessions), ask questions, get feedback, discuss races, and support each other on the journey to better performance. A few quick things to get started: - INTRODUCE YOURSELF in the comments below or in the "New Members" thread—tell us your name, where you're based, your main goals for 2026, and what you're most excited (or nervous) about right now. Let's get to know each other! - Jump into discussions, post your training logs, race reports, or questions—your input drives this place! - I am piloting this as part of your coaching subscription over the next few months, so please share your feedback, ideas, and what you'd love to see here. We're building this together as a supportive tribe, and I can't wait to see the energy, breakthroughs, and friendships that come from it. You've got big goals ahead—let's smash them as a team. Drop a quick intro or wave hello below. Looking forward to chatting! Greggo Again, WELCOME to the team
Calling all disc wheel experts...
I'm looking into a disc wheel for Cairns and was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on types, brands, what to avoid, weights, freehubs, bearings etc etc etc... A couple options I'm looking at below: https://paragon.bike/collections/triathlon/products/fulmine-p3-evo-tt-wheel-combo https://www.no6.racing/products/pulsar-disc?srsltid=AfmBOooYL9JP6kR2zWzaeaik4asRDBtL1UVk3iF1NsRXWzNCDet5V-pc https://dsgproshop.com.au/products/hed-jet-disc-wheels
Thanks Team
Hey Team. Xin chào I've just arrived in Singapore after leaving Busselton this morning. What a cracking weekend it was in both the West and Western Sydney. Some absolutely amazing results and it always great to see the hard work show up on race day. Clearly not everyone's day was perfect but "that's racing" as they say. Well done to all and I am looking forward to the week ahead in Vietnam with a sensational crew lining up for Ironman 70.3 DaNang and the first ever Ironman Vietnam on Sunday. I'll be behind the computer over the next few days in Vietnam pretty much as normal.....I will try to get the call in on Wednesday 6pm AEST also. Have a great week. LFG

Sports massage
Anyone got any recommendations on remedial or sports massage joints in Melbourne? Ideally St Kilda/Port Melbourne area? My legs are starting to feel it from new running load and the spiky ball only gets you so far.
Tonight's Call Recording
Hey Team, Super call again and thanks for all the questions and topics that we were able to highlight and talk through. Some highlights: - When to get a sleeve tattoo done in an Ironman build. - Fuelling for a marathon, when, what, where and how? - Bike packing for interstte/overseas travel.....get out the noodles. - Lubricating the nether reasons for running and biking. It really had it all. Enjoy Greg
