Dropping down a tier in development groups

Morning all, we just found out the my George has been dropped down from the keeping emerging talent group (they halved the amount of keepers), to the keeping development group from our local biggest team. Just wondering if you guys have any advice or words of wisdom - I can pass on to an 11 year old?

For context he got moved up to that group at Christmas and has only completed his first season as a full time keeper for his grassroots team, so maybe he just needs more experience and patience?
