Cameron put in a good shift at academy training tonight practicing dealing with corners…plucking them out of the air is less likely during a game as there’s no heading at his age group so teams tend to play the ball lower into the box. Good practice for the future though 👍

My daughter has just started as a keeper in an u10s team having played on the left wing since she started playing 5 years ago. Her shot stopping is great and her goal kicks and distribution are also quite good. What would be your top tips to help the rest of her game progress?

Two years ago I was selected to play for Devon fa under 12s. I had a great season wearing the number 16 shirt. Then I tried to move up to the under 14s still only 12 but was not successful. I was gutted and had a choice. I went away worked everyday on something related to goalkeeping . S&C, fitness, stretching, yoga. Trained after school with my dad 4 times a week played with my Exeter City and Plymouth Academy and my grassroots team. Built myself back up and went again a year later. After 4 long trials and I received the email congratulations. I had made the under 14s Devon fa team and Devon fa Schools team. The knock back was the best thing that could happen to me . I was determined I knew what I wanted . To now be handed the number 1 shirt makes all the hard work worth it. If someone says you're not good enough if you're dropped from a team if you make a mistake . Its what YOU do next that makes you who you are . NEVER give up and show the world how good you are. #J4K
