Factions and Goals for a Circus Campaign
Ok, I've gotten through the One-Shot material and need to prep for the more homebrew stuff. They'll be at Level 5 when we get back into it.
Party Composition:
Rith- (Drow Bard of Creation) New Ringmaster with a romantic side quest
BluSkal- (Kobold Soulknife Rogue) When not doing "crowd-work", this pickpocket is looking for rumors about his draconic lineage (which he has found)
Krishna- (Dragonborn Champion Fighter-Archer) The main attraction of the Dancing Dragon Circus, this acrobat is planning to reconcile running away from home
Zephyr- (Half-elf Circle of Stars Druid) Special effects expert for the troupe. He joined the circus to travel in search of a now discovered artifact.
State of the Game:
The major antagonists and their lieutenants of the Pine Hollow Campaign were all killed. They have a hefty sack of gold and some completed mid term goals.
Current Goals (as far as I can tell):
  • Put on a show for Pine Hollow
  • Return to each of their home towns and put on shows there as well
I guess my problem is I'm not sure where to go next since some are more involved in goal setting than others. I'm in touch with them separately, but since we're playing over Discord it makes group planning a bit tricky.
In the back of my head, I think I need to theme the campaign around a concept like freedom or frivolity. Perhaps a faction looking to break the spirits of the people and keep them submissive? Perhaps we make it a game where they try to accumulate Fame Points?
I CALL UPON THE WISDOM OF THE MASTER COUNCIL!
