🧡 MEDITATION MOMENT | PROVERBS 3:1–5
“To Surrender Is to Conquer”
If you are anything like me, surrender is hard.
To actively, willfully, and calmly relinquish control? That’s real hard.
But in Proverbs 3, we are given a clear command:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding.”
But pause with me and notice:
This command comes after the call to remember God’s law.
Why should we remember it?
Because it adds length of days, long life, and peace.
Because it brings favor and good understanding with God and man.
And what is this law we’re not to forget?
“Let not mercy and truth forsake thee: bind them about thy neck; write them upon the table of thine heart.”
💛 Mercy means we don’t treat the offender as they deserve.
But this goes both ways:
  1. We are to remember the mercy God has shown us—that’s freedom to just be.
  2. We are to show mercy to others—that’s freedom to thrive.
✨ Health cannot exist where there is bondage.
And mercy is one of the greatest forms of freedom.
💛 Truth is Jesus Himself.
And in Him, are all things held together (Col. 1:17).
We must not forget that.
So then—when the Word tells us to trust God and not lean on our own understanding, it’s because:
➡️ Naturally, it doesn’t make sense to believe that letting go of control…
➡️ …showing mercy instead of protecting self…
➡️ …surrendering instead of clinging tightly…
…will lead to peace, health, and long life.
But it’s the only way.
It’s not weakness—it’s the only door.
💥 To surrender is to conquer.
And today, I invite you to conquer.
