Day 9: Challenge 📋How I get sh*t done
I've always struggled with time. I was always late. I'd forget to pick up the kids. Miss meetings, appointments etc. I never liked structure, but turns out that's what I needed. Some guard rails to stay on track. Who knew routine would set me free! Bill just did a great post about picking the one thing you need to get done today. That's such a powerful thing to do and one of the things I do daily. Actually I pick it the night before. Here's my current process for keeping on track and executing my goals. You can implement this process digitally or with and old school diary. First some environmental clean up. - I don't have any social media apps on my phone. - The home page of my phone is my Google task list. - The default page of my browser is my Google Calendar which sits on it's own screen - I make sure my desk is clean, no clutter / distractions before I start. - My phone is turned off for the first few hours of the day - Be clear on your goals and make sure the tasks are aligned with that goal. The process starts at the end of the working day. 1. I review my priorities and pick the one 'needle mover' task that I need to do first thing in the morning when my energy levels are high and before all the 'noise' starts. 2. I then add that task to my Google Calendar with a time, you can drag and drop them. 3. I also have time blocks for 'like tasks' eg client review or admin tasks. These are events, but I may drop tasks in these blocks. 4. In the morning, I open my browser and there is the fist thing I need to do for the day. I don't have to think about it, I just get to work. This sets the tone or the day. 5. I execute the tasks using the built in focus timer. I'm on a ChromeBook because it's minimalist and less distracting for me. But most OS will have a similar focus tool. The less apps the better though. Keep the system simple. The timer 'gamifies' it for me. And blocks out all notifications. That's it, rinse and respeat. Things will pop up, that's life, it's easy to drag the tasks around, but they stay there on the right of my calendar and email so they are always 'front and center'.

Expert Interview #2 with G.S.: How to Make AI work for YOUR Brain
What if AI could work with your ADHD brain instead of against it? Meet @G. S., Gurvinder Singh: cybersecurity professional, father, and self-described "AI hacker." He's on a mission to make technology actually work for neurodivergent minds & is a member of Focus Founders! In this conversation, we cover: ✨ Why most technology is designed for neurotypical brains (and how to hack it for yours) 🎯 The "ADHD tax:" All the invisible ways neurodivergent people struggle with tech 🔧 How to use AI to expand your thinking instead of outsourcing it 💡 Practical strategies: chatting with YouTube videos, books, and even your own previous chats 🎳 The "bowling lane guardrails" approach to staying on track Listen in if you... • Believe technology should amplify humanity rather than extract from it • Struggle with productivity tools that create more friction than they solve • Feel left behind by AI tools that promise to help but don't work with your brain • Want practical ways to democratize AI access beyond the elite few • Care about restoring dignity and choice in how we use technology 🎯 Gurvinder's #1 Tip: Ask AI open questions about your goals, not specific steps. Tell it where you're tripping up and let it work as a thinking partner, not a task manager. This one was so fun! 2nd Interview for my own Skool, all about positioning founders as experts AI can't replace. Thanks so much @G. S. !!

Rise & Shine: A 21-Day Challenge to Unlock Your Potential ☀️🦁
Today is February 1st—the first day of one of the historically most challenging months for me, and for anyone else who suffers from seasonal affective disorder. As my grandma loves to say, "February is the shortest AND longest month of the year." But today is also the full moon in Leo, for all you astrology nerds out there. (Looking at you, @Matthew O'Brien! 😉) And this full moon in Leo is calling you—calling ALL of us—to step into our power and f*cking shine! To honor this full moon in my sun & ascendant signs (yes, I'm a double Leo, and yes, I am proud about it 😂🦁), I am proposing a challenge: 🌅 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝘀𝗲 & 𝗦𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝟮𝟭-𝗗𝗮𝘆 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗴𝗲 🌅 For the next 21 days, I’m committing to sharing one lesson per day about: - 🧠 Business & entrepreneurship - 🌱 Emotional regulation & nervous system stability - 💰 Abundance, self-trust, and sustainable success - 🧘‍♂️ Becoming a more grounded, embodied human And I’m inviting you to do this with me. 🔥 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗢𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝗥𝘂𝗹𝗲𝘀 🔥 Keep it simple & real: - Post one lesson per day (or whenever you feel called) - Short is perfect (3–10 sentences is plenty) - No polishing, no perfectionism - Lessons can be from wins, mistakes, patterns, or realizations The goal is to step into your power, shine your light, and OWN who you are. F*ck RSD. F*ck being "too much". F*ck being "broken". This is your time to take up space and show how f*cking powerful you really are! There are no prizes here. No one is tracking or keeping score. Miss a day? Come back. This isn't about perfection. This is about seeing how much JOY and EASE we can bring into our practice. Let's rise together. Let's shine. Are you with me?
