Long-term ADHD meds: has anyone stopped?
Hey everyone 🔥
I’ve got a question for those of you who have ADHD and take medication to get through your day.
I’m wondering if any of you were on medication for a long time and, after trying a few things, decided to stop taking it completely.
About two weeks ago, I did a little test and stopped taking my meds for around 8–10 days. With some good habits and a few tricks, I was still able to get through my daily to-do lists pretty well.
The only reason I started taking them again was for my overall well-being. When I’m on my medication, I have less mental chaos and less internal noise.
I’m asking because I’m in a bit of a dilemma. I’m tired of the feeling the medication gives me, but at the same time it really helps. Without it, I’m just as productive—sometimes even more.
I’m curious to hear from anyone who relates to this.
THANKS ! 🥸🔥
