Your Stress Bucket and HRV
The information provided on this website is for informational and educational purposes only and is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
Imagine you have a bucket.
Every stressor adds water.
  • Work stress,
  • Family stress.
  • Financial stress.
  • Inflammation.
  • Poor food choices.
  • Lack of sleep.
  • Hormonal changes.
  • Pain.
One stressor alone usually isn't the problem.
The problem is when the bucket overflows.
Most women don't realize that the body doesn't separate stress into categories.
The nervous system doesn't care whether stress comes from-
  • A bad boss
  • Menopause
  • Lack of sleep
  • Excess sugar
  • Chronic inflammation
Stress is stress.
And HRV is often one of the earliest signs that the bucket is getting too full.
As the bucket fills-
  • HRV drops
  • Recovery suffers
  • Cravings increase
  • Cortisol rises
  • Belly fat becomes more stubborn
This is why two women can eat the exact same foods and exercise the same amount but get completely different results.
One has an overflowing bucket.
The other doesn't. Stay tuned for part 3
