Truth - Muscle and fat are different tissues. One can't turn into the other.
WHY This Myth is Wrong-
When you stop training, muscle shrinks (atrophies), and metabolism slows.
If activity drops but eating stays the same, fat can increase, however - muscle never becomes fat.
