What's up! Welcome to NinjaFit πŸ₯· - I'm so excited to have you on this journey with us to become powerful, mobile and shredded ninjas! I'll start it off - I'm Raj from Virginia, near DC and I've trained nearly 10 years in martial arts. Starting off with 4-5 years of wrestling and BJJ, then another 4-5 years of a mix of Tae Kwon Do, Boxing and Muay Thai. Aside from all this, I love writing and have written short stories since I was 12, even a full sized novel when I was 22 (it's not very good but it was a fun experience)

On the topic of our Monday motivation - in order to believe what we can achieve physically , we must also visualize it in our training! Visualize over and over and over - and the execution will happen on its own! This video showcases that as I visualize working the liver shot!

Motivational Monday - Mind Over Body
"The body achieves what the mind believes." β€” Napoleon Hill A reminder that you are only limited by what you believe you can do. Your body is more capable than you realize. It can grow, adapt and if prepared enough, break records. Believe in yourself and what your body can do, see it, and then execute. Even if it doesn't always go exactly how we imagine, the belief helps us push ourselves to new levels we may not have thought possible. So if there is a weight that feels scary to lift, a technique that seems too difficult to do or any training milestone that feels out of reach - I challenge you to believe in achieving it, see it and train yourself to incrementally get there without fear. Lets train hard this week guys πŸ’ͺ

Stop Mindlessly Hitting the Bag! ❌ πŸ₯Š
As ive been growing deeper in my coaching role for striking, I’ve begun having a different relationship with my bagwork. I used to do rounds and rounds of just mindlessly hitting the bag, not thinking too much, just striking and flowing 🌊 And that type of work is still good to do - it gets you into a flow state with your striking and conditions your body and mind πŸ’ͺ That said, I’m now putting more effort into sharpening particular tools on the bag in a given round βš”οΈ For example, now I will do a certain drill, combo, or execute a particular strike OVER and OVER to make it smoother, faster and hit harder. Doing this has made my strikes and movements look and feel sharper , especially for filming content. I’ve come to learn this is the path towards actual improvement in my striking. Key πŸ”‘ Takeaway: Pick a weapon, and sharpen it over and over for a given round to see real improvements!
