GI-ISSUES? 🤔 Here are my top picks for gut health!
I have been getting SOOO many messages asking about crazy GI symptoms during perimenopause & menopause, so I wanted to share my top 4 recommendations that I take/use on a daily basis to help optimize gut health. 🙏🏼 1. L-glutamine: L-glutamine is one of the most researched and effective nutrients for gut repair, and the benefits are especially important for people in perimenopause, chronic stress, inflammation, or those dealing with bloating, IBS-like symptoms, or leaky gut. L-glutamine is one of the most important amino acids for repairing, sealing, and strengthening the gut lining. It’s literally the preferred fuel source for the cells that make up your intestines. 2. Colostrum: Colostrum is one of the most effective natural ingredients for repairing the gut lining, reducing inflammation, and rebuilding immune balance. It contains over 200+ bioactive compounds specifically designed for protection, healing, and regeneration. 3. Digestive/Pancreatic Enzymes: Digestive enzymes help your body break down food efficiently and completely which is crucial for reducing symptoms and improving overall gut function. When your body doesn’t produce enough enzymes (which is extremely common, especially during perimenopause & menopause), food isn’t properly digested, leading to inflammation, bloating, and nutrient deficiencies. 4. FIBER!!! Fiber helps: • Regulate digestion & prevent constipation • Fuel beneficial gut bacteria • Reduce inflammation • Stabilize blood sugar • Support healthy hormones • Reduce bloating • Improve metabolism & weight regulation • Enhance mood During perimenopause, fluctuating estrogen and progesterone directly disrupt digestion, gut motility, blood sugar, and inflammation making fiber one of the most important tools for restoring balance. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Going through something
Hey, I'm tanya, 48, and started feeling perimenopause symptoms about six years ago. First, I lost a lot of hair and it grew back wavy (stick straight since I was a kid), then my deodorant stopped working and I was sweating constantly. Then anxiety, rage, and sleeplessness set in. And brain fog, and other weird symptoms too. I also now wonder if I was never diagnosed with ADHD either. (Eldest daughter, overachiever, massively independent, etc) I finally got to see a specialist two years ago. On top of the bc I've been taking for years due to a hormone issue, they added Prozac. I didn't realize that it made things worse, and a month ago I lowered my dose and feel a lot better. But still not myself. I'm here to learn more, figure out where to get help from, and also just take comfort in knowing that there are many of us out there experiencing this when I feel like I'm going batsh*t crazy most days.
5 of the WEIRDEST Perimenopause Symptoms… how many do you have? 👀🏆
Let’s play a quick game… give yourself 1 point for each 👇 All of these have one thing in common: estrogen fluctuations 🫠 🚪 Doorway Syndrome: Hormonal fluctuations can impair short-term memory, word recall, and the brain’s ability to quickly store and retrieve new information. 🧠 Brain Zaps: Estrogen fluctuations disrupt serotonin signaling and overall nervous system stability, leading to brief, shock-like sensory disturbances in the brain. 🥶 Cold Flashes: Estrogen fluctuations can cause sudden shifts in blood flow & heat distribution that can make you feel abruptly chilled, shaky, or goose-bumpy even without a change in the environment. 😵‍💫 Vertigo: Estrogen fluctuations affect the inner ear and vestibular system, disrupting balance signals between the ear, eyes, and brain and causing sensations of dizziness or spinning. 👀 Vision Changes: Estrogen fluctuations affect tear production, eye tissues, and visual processing in the brain, which can lead to dry eyes, blurred vision, and difficulty focusing.
